Okay, I already posted pictures under my "Incoming NGD" thread so I won't bore you with that.

Item was in great condition, beautiful finish and workmanship. I had been playing my Charvel SoCal for so long that I am intrigued about the differences in feel.

It is much harder to bend on the JP6. I had 9's on the Charvel, I am assuming the JP6 comes with 10's? Could that make that much of a difference? The other thing I was thinking was that in order to install a trem stop on my Charvel I removed one of the trem springs leaving only 2 springs instead of 3. Could that have made the strings feel looser?

I actually like the tighter feeling strings a little because they track better.

Also, how do you guys compare the D Sonic to the Tone Zone. I feel like the Tone Zone is hotter and might actually have more sustain but the D Sonic is clean and doesn't get as messy.

Any thoughts on this stuff would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

Tone Zone should be warmer at least but not sure about output. Did you buy your JP brand new or used? Are you sure it is a D Sonic and not the newer pickups - Crunch Lab bridge and LiquiFire neck?

10s do indeed make quite a noticeable difference over 9's as does the absence of a spring on the trem block.
