I've had an OLP stingray 5 for about 7-8 years now which was my intro into the world of Stingrays. About a year ago I got an OLP stingray 4, which I ended up selling. About 3 weeks ago I picked up a SBMM Ray34, which is an absolutely amazing bass and I love it. But I couldn't resist any longer. I just HAD to have a true EBMM Stingray! It's the bass I've wanted since before I even knew how to play. So I set about getting rid of two of my basses, and finally got a real Stingray! 2000 Black Sparkle Stingray, and it's amazing. Put some new super slinky's on her, got her set up juuust right, and I think I've found a bass truly worth keeping! The only downside...now I want a Stingray 5...and a Sterling 4...and Sterling 5...just give me the whole collection!!
