I just bought a new Luke guitar and it is awesome, but the tremelo was very weak. I took the spring cover off to put another spring on and noticed two holes drilled between where the springs attach to the claw and the bridge block. Do other Lukes' have these and if they do why?

congrats and by the way the trem is setup like Steve Lukather likes it means you can pitch higher the G string up 3 semi tons so adding strings to the trem will change this setup (this is just a FYI comment )

Luke guitar tremelo springs

I added an extra spring because I like to set my picking hand on the bridge sometimes and the tremelo was so weak that I was going sharp and flat. I had to stop that. By adding an extra spring, will I have to change anything on the setup?

You will need to check your intonation and action if you set up the bridge for dive-only. It is possible that that action has been slightly lowered, and the intonation slightly flattened. It will be close, but may need a fine-tuned adjustment or two. If you haven't done that type of work before, have a good tech check the action then adjust the intonation, if necessary.

My Luke is a 2010 model. It is the black model. I love it. I also have a Benji Madden Model I bought used last year. I almost got a Silouette, but thought the Luke was more vicious with the EMG's. I had a Weber Mandolin that I bought 10 years ago and didn't play much that I decided to take to GC to see what I could get for it. I gave $1800 for it and got over $2100 worth of stuff for it. I was pretty happy. The guys at GC even threw in a Family Reserve case!!!!
