Keith.....I don't even know what guitars you have left! haha

I do, and you all should be paying attention :p;):D

The original poster is right Keith, but he left this part out...

"Instead of selling that you should trade it for the Black-burst Luke that Headstock has for sale. Black-burst will sell sooner than the Amethyst. No one buys purple guitars."

...and since that is probably what he meant to say I'll say I would be open to it. :D

Ha Ha! Nice one. That's exactly what you should do, Keith. Luke for a Luke. Help a fellow knucklehead out.:)

Keith, I understand that you probably wanna try out every EBMM under the sun, but I agree with the other forumites here. Especially since you told us how you got it to honor your mother, I would keep it. Its not worth selling it just to get something else that will end up getting flipped in a few weeks anyway. I know its your guitar and you can do what you want, but I just wanted to put my two cents in.

I can understand the sentiment here but I trust in Keith's judgment and that he knows what he is doing. So I support whatever Keith chooses to do.

I'll put this in my own words, perspective.

Guitars were made to be played. Some people sentimentalize them, some make them collector's items, some eBay them for $40,000 and some go to museums. But really. Guitars were made to be played. To make music. And no matter how much one likes a said guitar, its better in the hands of someone who'll play it and make music with it.

There's no bigger shame than a guitar, no matter how pricey or cheap, that doesn't get played.

crazy fing but this how we know him right? if fing was not crazy then no point :p

The big difference with Brentrock who was also flipping guitars like crazy is that fing always purchase NEW guitars so crazy fing is a very good customer for EBMM :D maybe the best one, after Ernie1966 :p

I reckon that if fing would have kept all his guitars his collection could be around the same as Ernie1966

now of topic, about expensive guitars I have seen a 1964 Strat L serie while in Japan that was selling for 4,5M Yen (roughly 48K$) and that guitar was REALLY a relic

So for much less than that you could have the ALL 3 guitars fing is selling now :p HH SSS and HSS what else do you need ?

(fing please don't forget my commission ahahahaah)

Guys,

I know it's fun to keep watching Keith in his never-ending quest to settle on a guitar (personally, I'm hoping that he'll grab a red silo SSS with a maple neck ;) )

But...

It's his choice if he wants to move one on. I'm sure he's thought through all of the consequences, especially given the guitar in question and the sentimentality aspect, so let's give him a break eh?
