Beautiful! Congrats! :)

Btw., do You know how in my region bass players say for gloss finished maple necks with finished maple FB?

We use to called such a basses "faster"!!!

And there is something about that, You can really play faster with gloss finished necks! ;)

The slab body, the smaller FB radius and the 2 band EQ are all non issues as far as feel is concerned. I never missed the contours, never noticed the rounder fingerboard and am quickly grasping the boost only EQ (it is fatter). The glossy neck feels different and I think I still prefer the satin wax/oil finish a bit for music that wanders all over the fretboard. For pocket playing though, the glossy is good to go.

Congratulations! And thanks for that review...

I really want one of those Seafoam Green Classics, but although I totally dig those beautifully figured necks would definitely prefer the oil & wax finished neck. Seems I need to get one of the few available at GC...

Lest I am misundertood, it's not THAT big of a difference and I am happy with the glossy neck for maybe 90% of my bass playing (the other 10% being wanky, showroom stuff). I also have to say that my 07LE is one heckuva build and I play it more than any bass I have thus it is pretty smooth

Gave it a set up last night. Like my other MMs it holds a super low action just above the point of buzzing. I also replaced the battery and the preamp kicked it up a notch!

I really want a Bass - that one will do nicely !!

Love that combination - pure class, love the retro feel, 4 strings, great looking neck, light, single hummer - man it ticks all the boxes.

Congrats.

I am feeling a pearloid pickguard...

But I dunno about altering it from stock... that's like putting a car bra on a 56 Corvette.

Nah, I'd do it. First time I saw it, I said, "Mother of toilet seat guard, fo shizzle."

Jack

PS: I have never actually said "fo shizzle".

Fantastic bass - congratulations. All these pics of classics are just giving me even more GAS pains waiting for mine to arrive.

I seem to remember you were angling for a shell pink one of these??!! Maybe I'm mistaken though.

I was but there were none to be had (or so I thought until the GC ones were revealed). Besides, this one has some interesting provenance behind it.

I guess it's not going to be as blasphemous as I think. White pearloid pg incoming. It's going to look even sweeter!
