Poppa old bass

Not sure if BP still plays this one or not. I found this pic going through some older pics from Jacks 50th B-Day party.

This was one of the coolest looking basses Ive seen. The rosewood neck felt stupid good. AND it was a Single H. This is what id have ordered had I been in a position to do so when they did the all rosewood BFRs. What more can you say about that bass?

That's an excellent bass! Had it here at the house for a few days before the party and fell in love.

And yes, Arin (or someone) did sneak it out the back door for a bit.

Jack - I just have to get a bass. have had one on a long term loan but have to give it back.

I know you are loving the Big Al and being an Albert Lee aficionado, the acquisition of a Big Al would fulfil my collection.

Ooops going "off thread" - but ya know what I mean about the Big Al?

I worked for 4 days with Strings and Things at a major UK exhibition and literally had to "persuade" some folk to try the Big Al out. EVERY one said that the bass was awesome!!

Unfortunately S & T wouldn't let me keep it !!

Jeez, Spud, with your collection - it's a no-brainer.

I'd normally suggest a Bongo, of course, but the Big Al would fit right in at your house.

im usually not very fond of tort, but on plain black and with the brown neck it works very well
