Wow!!!! I hope he makes a full recovery. Man, playin' for me is a hobby and I think about protecting my hands. Can't imagine what it must be like for someone whose career depends on it.

Well after reading the link bkrumme added it looks like all will be well. I cant say how happy that makes me to hear that as Jeff is just on another level and was probably having the two biggest years of his career. His live at Ronnie Scotts DVD went platinum, he won a Grammy for best instrumental with his take of The Beatles- A Day In The Life, Had those huge arena shows with Clapton and put out a new CD. Not bad for a legend at 65 who never once sat on his laurels and has always continued to push the envelope.

I'll tell you what, what guitar player out there who picks up a knife to cut something doesn't have "bells and whistles" go off in his head!!!

I don't even put my hand on an escalator rail (my wife holds me steady), nor do I ever pick up a power tool (except for an EB String Winder); is that considered a power tool??!! lol,lol

Forget the money - wayyyyyy too much time invested in practicing!

Very well said. He's also got a new manager who has just done wonders for his career. Like he's been shot out of a cannon all the good things that have come his way ...minus the finger...the last few years.

It does sound like the surgeon did a good job on the reattach and that all is well. Go Jeff! Your playing is unrivaled and emotionally unmatched.

Sad i'm not seeing him this tour

Lo and behold, this morning when I went to my mail slot at work, the new Guitar Player with none other than Jeff Beck on the cover was sitting there! I haven't had a chance to look into it yet, so I don't know if he mentions his digital accident.

I always liked Jeff Beck and had heard that he was a "Guitar Player's Guitar Player"
Then I tried to learn some of his stuff.....
That was truly a challange
Finally I got to hear/see him in concert two years ago.
WOW and OMG
This guy really is a "Guitar Player's Guitar Player"
I think the tremolo was invented for him.

From family personal expierence
If you drop a glass, DON'T try to catch it. Let it go.

Also, kevlar cooking / cut gloves.
At work, where safety is enforced to the point where people just don't get hurt, you don't pick up a pair of scissors without a cut glove.
here are a few examples from amazon

BP,
Are there places in your shop where these are used?

I bought tickets (show, airline, hotel, etc) to Crossroads this year JUST to see Jeff Beck - he better show up. :)
