following the implied "no pics, no bass" laws... here's the newest member to the stable... DDII Bongo5 HHp - yet to be named, but my wife suggested "booger" since she's a little p***ed @ me...

I haven't had much time to really play it, but I plugged it in last night for about an hour and let me tell you it's completely AWESOME!!

I wasn't sure about the piezo when I ordered it, either, but it really does add the 3rd dimension to the sound! Next gig isn't until the 24th, but I'll be sure to elaborate after its maiden voyage (I can't wait...:D)

Thanks EBMM... Major League Home-Run!!!

She will get over it...

But next time, give her a heads up. I told my wife 4 months ago I was saving for my new bass.

She knew I was getting it, I wouldn't have it any other way. She just doesn't understand why I have more than 1 bass because you can only play one at a time...:)

LOVE that pickguard on the DDII

They should come that way imho

but then again, I don't have the money to buy one so who am I to say?

Congrats, let us know what settings you find work for you. I love the piezo too but sometimes I'm tweaking knobs more than I'd like :D

Fantastic "full loaded" LTD edition bass!

The top of the tops! Excellent!

Bet it sounds awesome and there's no music which can't fit in and cut through with this bass!

Premium musical instrument, ...oh yeah indeed! :)

Very nice choice indeed, BTW! Love the Piezo... Love the Ebony, love the Bongo... What's not to love really?

Do they still have some? If yes I could use one for my Bongo 5 HH. Abalone is the new tort for sure, but sadly discontinued...

Pickguard came from theperfectbass.com... I figured that it would match the inlays on the neck nicely. I figured right.;)
