After the recent sale of my blue Axis Sport, with rosewood fret board, I got to thinking about selling my Sub 1.

Now, although I was never 100% with selling, I'll be chasing another Axis later in the year so it's gonna go.

Noooooooowwwwwwwwww, I figure I should toy with more mods before it goes.

I present for your sheer horror, the Maple Monster:

This was the spare neck I had intended to use with my Axis Sport, but ended up loving the rosewood original neck more.

I just can't leave things alone!

No, no... it looks great. Very Unique for sure!

As I tilt my laptop screen I can now see the Sub’s finish. At first glance I thought it was a Silo.

Yeah, the black can look a touch sparkly in pics.

I have heard people say the cinnamon Sub shows Mystic Dream tendencies with greens showing through, very cool.

Great finish, love it.

Oh......that's really nice!

Now if I happened to have a spare Axis neck around. I have no plans to deconstruct my Axis, ASS or Al to do that, but I do like it a lot.

Let's take a moment to reflect on the poor Sport that gave up its neck so that you could do that......

Wherever that body is, let it rest in peace now, its work is done.

Great guitar though, really unique looking.
