It doesn't happen often that a UK Magazine has a cover with an EBMM Stingray bass, and this makes me so proud because aside the colour, that is the exact same bass I have.

Gail Ann Dorsey has a very witty interview and she sings many praises to her bass she named "Marilyn"

But here is the cover in all it's glory.

Rounds of applauses to EBMM and to BP.

I am sure this will boost sales of Stingrays here in UK as well as the other lines of basses.

p.s.: Poppa, if you want a copy I can post you one free of charge ;) the interview is really interesting

Nice! Gail Ann Dorsey is a great player. I love her stuff with Bowie and Tears for Fears. She also sings really well too.

Is that bass purple or blue? I've been dreaming of a blue not too far off from that.

Nice. That's a sweet combo on the SR5 ... love the look of the cream-ish guard with the white pup cover, very nice. Didn't realize that G.A.D. had played with Tears for Fears. Love her Bowie stuff. She's the man.

I thought Marilyn was a 4 string stingray with a clear pick guard and a photo of Marilyn Monroe under it? I'll have to check the Bowie Reality tour DVD again.

Wow, that's great (the under pressure performance). I didn't know she had pipes like that. And I always wondered who was in the pick guard photo - couldn't see it clearly enough in this - another fav of mine, apparently from the same show. Incidentally, my "work band" is doing this one, and I'm stoked that soon I'll be doing it on a Classic Ray!

Is that bass purple or blue?

AFAIK, she has a blue burst SR5 and the well known white "Marilyn" SR4.

good to see her still using mm basses :)

I'd say good to see her back to using MM basses.

Amazing player. Totally love her stuff. To me the bass tone on David Bowie's "Earthling" album is one of the most glorious capturings of the StingRay 5 sound.
