Played a worship service today and it was smokin'!

The recordings confirmed what I thought - the Bongo kicked major booty. Thank God for that 4band EQ with piezo!!!

One musician who I respect came up who heard the band for the first time (the drummer and I have almost a telepathic connection for fills) and made my day...

"the rythm section was Poppin'... it was happenin' man!"

:D:D:D:D

Life is good right now

That's awesome to hear! I used to play bass in our worship team at church so I know what you mean when you lock with the other musicians and your bass is playing good. It makes everything just go together so nicely.

Poppin.

For the record,

Life is good, all the time.

We just don't see it as James did.

Good to hear your worship band has everybody jumping. Ours today was pretty awesome, too. Bass player back from the Dominican on short term mission. Adjusted his heart, and that came out of the strings today.

Unfortunately somebody thought messing with the soundboard was a good idea, changed the monitor settings, and suddenly everyone is complaining.....I'm going to go to the washroom before I even start up the board....made everything difficult for the first 10 minutes of the service. Then I figured out what he had done, and righted the wrong, vocalist by vocalist. Got the harmonies going, and brought in the bass and the kick on the subs, which truly gets everyone going.

And then our youth pastor was ordained, so now we look upon him with reverence.

Also enjoyed my MIAC Silhouette today, playing through my Johnson Millennium head and HK 412. Changed the patches, from The Gilmour Pink Floyd sound, to a raunchy Marshall combo, to an AC30 with a real strong tremolo.....I'm amazed at the sounds.

Life is good. Life with God is even better.

thanks everyone

To put this in perspective, I've played about three years in various worship bands. Usually there was something not right in all of them (drummer slowing down, monitor mix atrocious, guitarist who wanted to "noodle" all the time, domineering leaders, no chemistry, players not listening, etc)

This is the first team where everything is gelling. The team was hand picked by the leader and I'm really grateful he asked me to be part of it.

So I know this is something special and I'm not taking it for granted. The Bongo sounds fantabulous through the sound system.

The Bongo 5HHp is *perfect* in this setting. Not once did I get a negative comment on its looks - in fact I usually get positive ones on the looks but definitely on the tone.

Played my BFR SR5 in worship today also..first time out since I bought it 6+ months ago..sound guy came up after sound check to tell me what an incredible sounding bass I was playing...(uh, yah!?) He's used to mixing P's and J's. I used it as another opportunity to push the EBMM product line. -Capt. Don

Played my SR5 HH at church this weekend, always get positive feedback on tone. The Electric Blue finish also gets a lot of attention.
