So, I was thinking about Smelly's thread, and the great offer from BP, which has probably made him the happiest Scotsman alive (well at least since the invention of the deep-fried Mars bar).

Anyway, I digress.

Imagine if you will, that for some reason or another, you can only purchase one more EBMM.

What would it be?

The deal is, that it has to be something that they make and is available new, so there's no point asking for anything with a reverse headstock, or a Mr Horsepower.

So with those caveats, what would your final EBMM be? Would it be something that is completely different to anything you have currently, or would you look for something that offers huge versatility? Or would it be another of the same model, but with a really cool finish?

It doesn't have to be your only guitar (unless you don't have any already), so maybe you want something that compliments the ones you already have?

Personally, I think I'd go for something with single coils, as most of the guitars I have are humbucker loaded, so, what's your choice?

Jimmy, you know I say it all the time and then something clicks and well that whole thought for me of my last guitar just goes out the window. My wife has already told me, don't tell me that because it's never true.

Like Fing, I don't think I'll ever know what my last guitar will be. :D

Hahahahaha.

right now my last guitar is the HSH Silo i bought a few months back... between that and my 20th i'm pretty set.

Sure i gas up real bad from time to time and then i play either one of my silos and it seems to go away (for the time being)

I fell in love with fings Reflex but thats a GC special not a production make.

I hope Purple (Amethyst) makes a comeback. A Purple Reflex or Axis as my last guitar... I could live with that.

No such thing

There's no such thing as a " last guitar "! Until you move on to the other side (not the bass side;)) - you die, there will always be one more...;) When I promised my wife that I wouldn't buy anymore balls, I started trading, it never ends:eek:

My 25th does everything I need. I don't need anything else, except another 25th/Reflex dropped down half step. I would be all set then.

my cherryburst is the best guitar I have ever owned, but if I could get one more, I need a 7, and it would be a JP7 stealth or mystic dream.

Wow, that's a tough one.

I love them all ... and have a HH AL on order ... but nothing can dethrone my 25th at the moment. So it would be the "last one" if it had to be.

I'm set too but this craziness never ends :D

few month ago I would have say a 25th with All rosewood neck
Now I would say a HHAL in White, lake placid blue, or Gold
In 3 month I may say a Reflex ...

I control this gas attack, one thing is sure, I went to see if the grass is greener with a very nice tele from Tom Anderson, I've played PRS, Gibson, Gretch and Fender from now on ONLY EBMM :D

I would probably go out with a Steve Morse y2d...hopefully the BFR version in trans black and chambered :D. Or a Silo Special BFR...need that tone black hehehe. Ok ok...EITHER a SM y2d or a BFR LUKE.

A Purple Sunset Y2D with a stop tail bridge. I am jonesing for this ax something fierce. I know I was all set to pounce on an HH AL but this is first in line as it is just hypnotically beautiful.

Mmmmmmmmm Deep fried mars bar.. Hey Jimmy great thread.

I just wanted to put accross that all of this is a Journey - mine is coming to a cadence - well an end really but I'm n denial!

Your guitars are what you make them, tools, treasures, parked money, and sometimes they are a status symbol.

Depending on what of the above you hold as a the top priority will probably determine your last, if your a tools guy, you won't care about flame tops you'd be more of 'it's got a good neck and we've played 800 gigs together' - or if you like case queens then birdseye and flames or a killer quilt will dazzle you every time you open the case,

And that's the thing for me that puts EBMM apart from the rest, is you can have all of the above....

I've obviously been very fortunate in my purchases, my DD luke BP re-opened the order book, I 'did a deal' to get the BFR knucklehead bash guitar and BP offered to make me a 25th after the order window, and AGAIN BP offered to make me my HH AL in LPB which I ordered through my dealer today! an amazing company, who always go the distance, and I have NEVER had a regret about buying any Ernie Ball Music man guitar.-

In the regrets department, if I could have gone on for longer I would have bought a Y2D,with a quilt top - an axis super sport with a quilt and maybe tried a JP - but I had to draw the line somewhere...

HOWEVER - you crazy kids can keep going - my advice, change as much of your collection often and keep it fresh, but keep your favourites, and when you go off them - case 'em - don't sell - becuase you can't get them back!

Just my 2 cents, - a very happy, heading to rehab Smelly, now where's that Mars Bar.

Preface by saying I have purchased an Axis (used), JP6 (new) and a AL HH (new) in the past 5 months - another guitar is not in my plans for a while.

BUT, if i were to buy one more, it would without a doubt be a blue pearl LUKE!!!!
