Sterling I stopped in Sam Ash which is 13 blocks away from me for the first time in 2 years to check out a Purple Sunset Y2D and was surprised they did not have any EBMM guitars. To be honest I cant stand that store and remember when they had no Fenders or Gibsons though they had about 15 combined the day I went in, and the girl told me they have not carried any EBMM guitars in awhile. Just wanted to know is that on your part or there's, no details necessary just wondering as it is a big store. Just that it is a hike to GC for me. Thank You.

Sam Ash sucks! Thats all I have to say. They even bought out the store across the street in NYC which was much better Manny's Music. Politics suck and so do politicians...look at the morons in Ukraine beating the crap out of each other (actually pretty cool hehehe) and look at the morons running our country...its more like every state for itslef. Anyway, take a trip to GC...they should have plenty of EBMMs :D.

BP should run this country! We would have good food and EBMMs everywhere hehehe

Guys, I don't think that's not the kind of "political" BP was talking about. It has nothing to do with actual politicians. Besides, political discussions can get people crazy. I think the politics of the music industry and name brand recognition is what he was referring to.

or maybe its a case of "if X" carries your product then "Y" will not carry it... its lame, but it isn't unheard of in the retail world.

True. When I worked in auto parts, some companies wouldn't allow you stock if you carried the competitors brand. Crazy.

Certain guitar companies even require somethin like 40% of your entire stock to be their products before they even let u order a usa model..

Sam Ash does carry Ernie Ball strings - I have bought them there a few times.

I can't say I really care to go there to purchase instruments, but I have got some good recording gear there. Zoom makes some great stuff.

Only music stores i have been in are a few local shops, GC, and a Daddy's when i was at Berklee in Boston.

I always thought Sam Ash was an online retailer.

Yeah, "political" mumbo jumbo isn't just exclusive to affecting EBMM. But, when it affects some great products like Musicman guitars it can be very disappointing.:(

I was in the Cincy Sam Ash a couple of weeks ago. They had more guitars on their wall than the Cincy Guitar Center does. They had a huge variety too. They had no EBMM guitars at all. I didn't look for basses though. Guitar Center, OTOH, had one Silo that was badly setup. They always have a tone of EBMM basses though.

I understand exactly where BP is coming from now. It was just that when I was in Ash that day they had a young girl in the guitar department who did not know herself why they did not have EBMM guitars.

And also like I stated they hardly had any quality guitars for a store of that magnitude and size. I am talking the store in Brooklyn, I would believe Roubster knows the one I am talking about. I can tell when something is on its last leg and that store is as the only other person in there was a guy who had his sons ax and needed a new nut and was told they do not do that kind of work there so I sent him to my friends store which he knew but was not sure of the street. No big deal when I go see my brother in ParkSlope tomorrow I will just go over to GC.
