Hey guys, it’s been a while since my last thread. It’s a NGD & a New Amp Day. I pick them up tomorrow morning.

A lot of you guys might remember a thread I made last November called “I have hit rock bottom”. It was all about the unfortunate happenings going on in my life. I won’t rehash it but lets say that I can finally see some light at the end of this long dark tunnel.

It’s been over 2 years and I’m still unemployed. I just started a Government run job placement program and their results look promising. I’ve already had a 2 interviews.

My health has slowly been getting better. I’m still not 100% but I feel well enough to get back to work.

Right now I can’t afford another Axis so I’m getting the next best thing. A beautiful Trans Blue SBMM AX40. Once I get working again the search will begin for a Purple Axis or Reflex.

Lots, I mean lots of pics will be posted tomorrow. Like all of us here, I’m a stickler for guitar pics.

Thanks to Pat Park, BP and the MM team.

Jeff

Hey Browndog... congrats and glad to hear things are looking better for you! I know how hard it is being unemployed. I spent all of 2009 without a job after being laid off in January. Found a job as a consultant in January of this year... but have yet to get paid. Main thing though is that times like this really force us to evaluate what is important... you will come out of this much stronger and healthier.

Boo friggin yah botha man...

jeff deknucklehead i'm so stoked that you're NGD is right around the corner... i know it's been a long road for ya- and as many have said prior this season of life though it has been difficult it has taught you so much about who you are as a person. It has been great getting to know you and consider you friend- you have walked through a lot and i have the utmost respect for you... even if you are a crazy north of the border hockey fan... (do you really expect me to post without some sarcasm?) :D

I had one on loan from a friend and it was fantastic. He dropped in a premium speaker and some Groove tubes.

I’ll try it stock and if it doesn’t match what I had, I’ll do the same mods.

Jeff,

Glad things are looking up for you. Diabetes is a tough thing - it runs deep in my wife's family (her dad [rip], both older brothers, two nephews, one niece, one grand-niece [the oldest nephew's daugher]) plus one sister-in-law by marriage (so both my wife's brother and his wife are diabetic) - and all but her oldest brother and oldest nephew are insulin-dependent. My niece and my sister-in-law are both doing well on an insulin pump - always an avenue you can look at if you have to go the injectable insulin route (although it sound like you're using other maintenance drugs than injectable insulin).

I'm also glad the job front is looking up, and it sounds like the SMBB Axis will give you something to hold you over until you can go for an Axis or Reflex later.

His Reverence has not been here in a while. You sir are truly blessed.

Seriously, congrats on the new gear!!!

Stay positive on the diabetes front. My aunt has suffered from it her whole life. More than most people can imagine. She has a very positive outlook on life and no doubt it has helped her live and thrive as long as she has. She lost part of a leg, her vision, and kidneys to this disease. She is 30+ years on the transplanted kidney. Despite all that this disease has taken from her she still wakes up every day smiling and is quite active.
