New Finger Day :D

Picked it up today after a few weeks being made. Could have bought a new Ball for what it cost , but hopefully it'll be a great help for me playing all my other Balls. I can at last play my beloved ninth chord without deadening the 4th string. I'll get some pics in action later :p

Looks nice Kev ... good luck with getting back to normal asap & hope don't interfere with your guitar playing.

Does that tip slide on and off or a permanent attach ?
More common injury than you would think.

I watched an interview with Steve Morse talking about his farm and he always has his fingers in agricultural stuff like that... makes you shudder. You always think it won't happen to you.. hope he reads this thread or Tommy passes the message on.

Certainly gives a new meaning to 'giving someone the finger'

sorry Kev, couldn't resist.

Cheers

Who was it that gave you the "finger" huh? You tell me and I'll have them vivisected!

:D :D:

Nice one, Kev, I wish there was something that could have been done to my missing digit but I was too late and they amputated the other dangly bit. :(

I wish it was a joke, although seems quite funny now. Lawnmower got the better of me. Can't believe it was nearly a year ago now.

Yeah Baz, it's a silicon sleeve, so it comes off. Holds on tight by vacuum. The angle is set, so it's not adjustable. It is a very common injury according to the nursing staff at the hospital. I've been very lucky.
I was very close to losing two digits, but luckily missed the bone on the next finger.I was able to start gigging again 3 months later, and manage pretty well now.
This will hopefully just make some of those big stretches a bit easier. I'm sure there will be compromise though.

Congrats Kev! Is it bionic?

That'd be great, but I would have had to sell my house to buy it

Kev get this to match the wrinkly hand and latex finger :D:D
