A 5 strings might open new horizons to you, I suggest you try one.

MusicMan makes some of the world leading 5 strings necks, the Stingray was the first in it's range and has been going strong now for some 20+ years and more to come. Sterlings and Stringrays 5 strings are similar necks but the Bongo is different, same string spacing and fingeroard sizes but slightly different neck profile, I found it a bit more comfortable (the Bongo 5 that is) to play. The 25th Anniversary or the following continued model the Reflex are based on the Bongo neck and the Big Al 5 (currently on order) I haven't tried yet but I believe this also has a Bongo type profile neck.

So you should really try them all and see, it's the only way to find what suits you the best.

Someone please correct me if any of the above is wrong. Thanks

If you're considering getting a 5-string, then by all means do so.

Any EBMM 5-string that you choose will rock.

But I gig with my H.

Yeah, it took me some time to realize that, but honestly 90% of gigin', I use only H position of my Sterling 5 HS (5 position switch)!

So, thank God that HS Sterling have H pickup at the same sweetspot position like single H! ;)
