Hey,
I'm new to the forum. I got a used purple Luke II. What year did they discontinue that color? I was just trying to find out more info on my guitar.
I had also noticed that my high E is really close to the edge of my fretboard compared to my other guitars. Is it something common with the Luke neck?
thanks,
Mike

Im gonna guess that is Pearl Purple. seen a few silos in that color. Vinnie Moore had one in that color. Pretty sure Axilla has one in that color as well as our lefty friend from the UK AndyPeters.

Your neck may have moved and need a tweak.
Are the 15th /17th fret markers central to the G & D strings ??
(misalignment is most exaggerated there)

I suspect the dots are not central - closer to the D string, which means the neck needs a little tweak upwards (i.e. towards the top horn).

Very easy to fix.

I hope I attached it right. I don't know how to make the image larger.

Thats freakin NICE! If you ever want to sell it, let me know :D. Congrats on a fairly rare LUKE. I've got one coming my way in about a month or so.

Thats another color that bit the dust unfortunately. It really does suit the LUKE really well. The first time I saw it was on Vinnie Moore's Silo Special with the Floyd trem...such a cool color, and he made me sell my LUKE and replace it with my current Silo Special.

Andy, no offense, but the purple pearl guard takes away from the Purple color of the guitar. To each their own...I know I know.

Nice guitar Andy! I love the pic with the cats. I don't know what it is about cats, they love to sit on amps, guitars and play with guitar strings!
thanks guys for the welcome. I don't know why I didn't come here sooner.
So far I am really loving the Luke. I got it almost a year ago. I have wanted one forever and found this for a killer deal at Guitar Center. They had dropped the price by about $500. It has been my main guitar since I got it.
I will let you know Roubster if I decide to sell it. I thought about it a while back ago. I have been really wanting Tyler but I think I will just save for that. I know I will regret selling it. A lot of people say they regret selling their Lukes.

Not so, it really brings out the purple which has a tendency to look black otherwise

I also like the purple guard (but then again I hate white pickguards with a passion). When I got my red SS the shop had two in stock, the other one looked just like yours did before the guard change, but right handed and with the old 6 screw trem. The red one sounded much better and had the new MM trem so I got it. Wish I could have gotten both.
