It's a great day to be a twanger. Check out my new (to me) 1990 Morse. Wicked player and wicked tone. Resonates so well it could almost pass as an acoustic guitar when not plugged in. She's got the sprayed neck and it is super easy to move around on. Fantastic variety of tones. I'll be bringing her to rehearsals this week. Can't wait!

Congrats dude! I've got two and agree that there's just something special about them. Gorgeous score.

Very fine Morse porn!

It's interesting how Yours shows so much wood grain on the front and the back. My 1994 has no visible grain on the front side at all, Steve's Nr.1 (when it still had lacquer on it) is also darker and shows no grain.

Tommy, what about Yours and other Steve's Morses (not Y2Ds), do You mind sharing that info, please?

Very nice Morse; the old 6-bolt EBMMs are getting pretty hard-to-find and that ones in great shape.

Thanks a lot fellas. Yes, it is indeed in great shape. I got it locally from a huge Morse fan, who played it and loved it and did some gigs with it but looked after it well. The frets are in fantastic shape as well. No discernable wear at all. Plays like a dream. Once I get proficient with the switching options, I can tell this is going to be a really cool part of the show. The contrasts in tones available is amazing.

Just shows if a product is built to high quality and cherished properly then the ages is immaterial. I like to see the visible woodgrain on blueburst. Not so keen on the darker ones.

In response to DK's earlier comment in the thread about his being dark mine is light and grainy too. Don't know if this is down to different years styles.

It could be Baz. I believe the finish was thinner at one point than it is now, which may make a difference. Do you know when your (fine looking) Morse was made?

December 98. Could be, I've seen some where you would not even know there is a wood grain. Very dark. Down to preference I guess, and moods change over the years on everything. Years ago in the UK white was real popular on cars then for 20 yrs it was a no-no. Now it's coming back in fashion. Perhaps guitars have trends too....

Cheers
