Today a guy in work brought in a box of old music Magazines - mostly "Sounds".

I asked if I could borrow a few and one I selected had a great article on Free when they toured Japan (minus Fraser and Kossoff).

More interesting was the adverts for Loons, star T shirts and guitars/gear.

American Guitars for £200 - Marshall amps for under £100. 4 x 12's for £55.

I wonder what people will be paying for MM guitars in 40 years time ??

And in those days you could go out, have ten pints, a bag of fish and chips on the way home, buy a car and a house and still have your bus fare home from a fiver....

Hands pipe and slippers to Spudly.

Hey Spud, I used to buy Sounds & NME in the early 70's.

Still got a couple of scrapbooks full of Deep Purple/Ritchie Blackmore cuttings.

Sounds was the best........shame went out of business.

Must be great nostalgia trip reading through them.. you are a lucky guy

Guess Steve Morse was just out of College then ! haha

Cheers
