They did help Slav, and thanks to everyone else who made suggestions. My wife made her own decision in the end and bought a Canon Powershot G11. It seems pretty nice, plus it was fun to watch the guys at BestBuy try to sell her an open box unit, LOL. That did not go well for them as she was having none of it, and then startled haggling over price with them.

Being a hack at photography and helping my cousin who is a photographer for a living, we both only used Canons. There like Balls, tried other brands but as soon as I got my first Canon, I was hooked. Can’t beat the build quality, fit & finish.

when i first started taking photography in college i was tossed between nikon and cannon... ultimately i went with cannon. It's such a fantastic product. My shots of my 20th were with a cannon dslr... they turned out ok i think... LOL

This thread, if I grasp the concept correctly, was meant to let the craziness out.
Kind of a therapeutical thing...
There should have been a warning like Starbucks does by telling you the coffee is hot or like putting a post at the grand canyon rim telling you that you might die should you jump to let people know that they are entering this thread at their own risk. Parental discretion is advised.

Anyway to clear any confusion, I like Australian people ;BP makes nice guitars ; Obama is an american president and the author of this thread had a great idea that I may have enjoyed a little too much.
