Ok this has been giving the round and round in my head since the beautiful and gorgeous JPX came out. When the original BFR was on place already JP stopped using his previous and marvelous JP scooped –well at least live-, do you guys think that he will stop using the original BFR’s just by the simple fact that (and I’m just quoting what he said) the JPX is an evolution. If that’s so, is there a possibility later on for a different color on the JPX?, if this is a repost my apologies, never meant to, I’m just wondering. ;)

from my understanding artist models are only changed when an artist requests a change- so if JP wants another color i could presume that yes we would see another color for the JPx. That being said... the JPx is an anniversary guitar marking the 10 year mark of JP and EBMM so this color was specific for that milestone.
Looking at other milestones such as the relation between Morse and EBMM and the Y2D and other color options being available i would guess that yes we will see more options as far as color but just an educated guess...

Hmm do you think JP will keep using the original BFR's?

There was a thread on this not too long ago, but basically BP said that JP won't stop playing his other models. I think he even said JP will be playing all three models on their upcoming tour. Even on their recent South American tour, JP played both the JPX and the BFR, so I don't think he'll stop any time soon. Although, I wish he would play just the JPX so that we could see some cool one-offs for his different tunings haha.

Man if BP actually confirms it, I'll do whatever it takes to see them next tour. I saw them last year at the Chicago Theater was my very first time seen them live (i reborn BTW), but i'm pretty sure next tour will be epic, cuz if i'm not mistaking will be their 30th anniversary.

Why would anyone think he would stop playing his other guitars. Without a doubt he has to have favorites that he has spent time breaking in, or just have that mojo that songs come flying out of when he is writing or some that are used for different tunings and so on.
