What I'm curious about, is how you got a JPX 7-String. Seeing as according to Ernie Ball they don't offer the JPX in a 7 String at this time. I ordered my JPX almost 4 months ago (still waiting for it). And at the time I inquired about getting a 7 String, and all sources said "they don't make 'em, not available". So I'm a little disapointed now that I have a 6 string showing up sometime soon, and unless you did some major flawless editing on that video, you clearly have a 7 string model. Although in your video, the wiring diagram does say '6 String'

The JPX 7 has been available since NAMM just like the JPX 6. They just didn't put it on the website. I ordered mine the first day they were available. Pete DuBaldo also ordered another one which is the one MrLovejoy got.

I understand the 7 string version isn't on the website. This is likely why there is a bit of confusion about whether they are available or not. Whoever the dealer is who told you they aren't available must not have *called* EBMM to verify. They simply went by what they saw on the website.

So it's not a timing thing, nor are you going crazy watching the video. They really do exist and you can get one from a reputable EBMM dealer.

BTW, 4 months is about right. You should likely be seeing your JPX 6 very soon.

The specs will be up by tomorrow morning. They will be listed under the JPX6 specs on the main JPX page.

Basscentral, The Perfect guitar, Dubaldo, and DrumCityguitarland all have JPX-7s in stock right now.

I believe that I am going to be posting a follow-up review some time around the first of September.

It means something so funny that you piss your pants (or whatever you happen to be wearing) laughing at it.....and I almost did :p
Funny stuff and a great guitar...'grats!
Thanks!

The tabbed menus look great, you should ask the webmaster to think about doing something similar for the other models that have general equivalents (consolidate 6 and 7 JPs, etc.).
