Along with this band called Iron Maiden :D. Anyway the guitars.

JP used alot of BFR's tonight, including the sister to one currently for sale in the FS thread (the Silverburst)

An original Mystic Dream JP made an appearance for Pull Me Under.

No JPX action.

It was a great concert, though i wish DT would have played a longer set since i primarily went to see them. But Iron Maiden kicked ass too.

My camera is extremely terrible so these are the only ones that came out halfway nice.

Maiden rules, DT rules ... so a great show I'm sure.
In 2005, they played together in Paris (with also Within Temptation).

Could you tell if he was using the OEM pickups in the Mystic Dream, or one of the newer sets?

Very cool, what was the setlist? Interesting to see there was no JPX in action. I'll be at the Houston show tomorrow night and will let everyone know what he plays there as well!

I really should try to catch this in Toronto ... buddy of mine is handling the lighting for the Maiden tour so I'm sure I can wrangle up a pass.

JPX on the way...

We shipped 2 guitars to John for the Dallas show that didn't make it in time due to mechanical issues with a UPS plane. They should be arriving for the Houston show. One of them is a JPX!!

Excellent! I'll be on the lookout for them, especially since John can only play 1 at a time so I'll take the other home with me! :D

Thats it, it was Constant Motion. He used the Cherryburst on that song, man, that finish really stands out on stage.

@ ThatsAgood1Jay

Was there any cool new merchandise for DT at the show? What kind of stuff and how much?

-Eric

There was a really cool 25th anniversary shirt that i wanted, but did not want to pay $35 for. I did not see any boot leg CD's, it was mostly apparel. ranging from $30 to $50.

I really wanted to buy the 25th shirt, but they were $10 over what you can get them for from their site, so i held off.

Yeah saw that shirt on their website, may have to order it there instead of at the show. Thanks!

In a way I'm glad of that setlist, because it won't tempt me to pick up tickets for Toronto. I've seen all of those songs, some more than once.

They come through Dallas so rarely these days i go to every show they plan. I had never seen A Rite of Passage or Home live. I really would like them to come through as a headliner again. Their Systematic Chaos tour was the last time they were down here as a headline and both prog nations (which i would have killed to see Opeth with them) just skipped over alot of the south.

I am going to buy tickets to Uproar festival just so i can see Avenged Sevenfold with Portnoy drumming, plus i am a fan of Airbourne and Disturbed.
