Anything is worth what someone is prepared to pay & perception is everything.....why else would someone pay telephone numbers for a beaten up worn out old Strat when you can buy a perfectly good new one for under 1k

His ad has horrible mis-spellings and he hasn't even researched the S# to get an exact build date. Pffffft. I know the birthdate of all of my Musicman guitars. I'll give you all 4 of them for $10k. Whatadeal.

That is an WTF??, but hey first it looks to be in very good condition and its is a pinky, so kinda rare but not woth that price tag, but thier is always someone out there with way too much money and not enough sense that may buy it.

now what no one has mentioned is if you look in one of the pics there is a GC invoice, so looks like this was bought used from GC and now this person is trying to make a huge profit, plus his feedback rating would make me shy away, no guitar is worth 10K even new.

Now on the would I play a pink guitar, HELL YEA:D

As you say, no NEW guitar is worth 10K but people have been brainwashed into believing that 2nd hand......sorry "vintage" ones are worth that much.
As for pink guitars I love them, but etiquette forbids posting photos. Suffice it to say than when EBMM offers Shell Pink my credit card will be flashed!

There's a saying in Finland that goes like this:
Ei se hullu ole joka pyytää, vaan se joka maksaa.

Which translates roughly in to:
The person who sells isn't the crazy one, the one who buys is.

If a potential buyer see's these post he's going to run..
If he buy's it then see's these post he'll most like off himself or the guy that sold him the bill of goods..

Indeed :) I don't understand people getting so baffled about it. No-one's forcing you to buy it. If someone buys it from him (and I think someone will), more power to him.

No shame in my game. Personally I am rooting for Rob 213 there to get his 10K for that Pink bad boy! And I guess we all know the reason why-because I own one.lol

Hey would anyone be disappointed if he did get it? I saw a Gibson 59 Burst from Norms up for 350K a month ago and a 62 Strat sell for 120K about 11 months ago. There are a lot of hot axes from 1978 upward that will see there value rise just as soon as enough Doctors and Lawyers who collect are from that era, and I have said this on many forums that- Great Player+Signature Ax+Discontinued Model= Collectible. So hold onto your Balls!

All jokes aside I doubt very highly he will get close to that price at this time but I

Not sure that late 70's Fenders will get that kinda price what with the issues they had after being taken over in the 60's.

But I agree - I'd love to see that pink EVH get top dollar - it's good for all us EVH owners;)

Ooops! But I can see a day down the road that these guitars will sell in that price range. They are hitting the 20 year mark and there are just as many if not more guitar fanatics from the late 70s, 80s and 90s as there were in the 50s and 60s where the vintage boom started from.

To keep it real if there are guys out there now spending 5K on Strats from the 70s which we all know were not very good guitars at all, and next to an EVH not even the same league, I think that sums it up.

Fing you have a great set of eyes.lol You are right on the money that guitar was bought in GC, I did not notice that till you pinned it out. Someone will be feeling pretty sick if it goes very high. On the other hand a great job on whoever scored that as they probably were dropping there credit card while shaking with excitement. I bet they just said I'll take it and then plugged it in and checked it out.

Boy that is a Case Queen and when you think they only made 200 how many could look like that. I have to get some pics up as I know none of my guitars exist yet but I bet a lot of guys will dig the color on mine a bit more. The guitar is mint and the Headstock still Pink like that one but the body slightly faded to give the guitar a Salmon color which looks wicked. But I think this is great seeing a non star owned EBMM just listed for that price. Go Rob!lol
