figure if i sell off both my balls... my amps and cabs that would leave me about 6k shy... pending i get top dollar for my gear. but at least i can be the guy that everyone laughs at for spending 10.5k on a EVH...

To be honest I can thank Geoff Knapp for my Pink EVH. I believe a lot of guys would know Geoff who runs rockandrollweekend, and is one hell of a good guy, besides offering up so much info for everyone on VH guitars.

Anyway a few years back this poor guy had a stroke and had to sell off some of his guitars on ebay to pay his medical bills. He listed a mint Blue Quilt EVH and a mint Pink Quilt EVH. Just so happened one of my really good friends just settled a case for 6 million Dollars. (yes you read correct.lol) So he wanted to hit me off with some scratch and I said just buy me a guitar, and to be honest he bought me 3. I love the Blue top on the EVH but knew that they only made about 200 Pink from Geoffs site so it was a no brainer as I figured my odds of grabbing a Blue top would always be good. Anyway I still remember the exact number of bids on both guitars as they ended a few minutes apart. The Blue had 27 bids and the Pink had 6 and sold for $100 cheaper. For some reason when I bring it into the store people flock around that ax as so many guys did not even know it came in Pink.

Two years ago my friend Ron sold his Green EVH from some guy in the Netherlands on a forum and asked me what he should ask. I told him 5K and work down but the guy took it for the 5K and both parties were very happy. In fact the guy from the Netherlands emailed me and said he finally had the guitar of his life. I sure as hell would love to find a green one. Does anyone on the forum have the Holy Grail.lol
