So, I finally had the chance to play an HH AL today....

Simply an amazing guitar, GC has two of em (powder blue w/trem, black/hardtail) I opted to check out the black on black hardtail and came away very impressed. The weight was really comfortable, the all rosewood neck just felt right. I forgot how nicely balanced the AL is as a guitar.

On a side note, I was also speechless when the GC salesman asked if I was finished and took the guitar and immediately started to polish it up before replacing it on the wall. I have been there many times and have never had that happen before.

Then, I came home, plugged in the Morse and just smiled.......

Our chain up here in Canada is Long & McQuade. Great store with the lowest prices.

In all these years, I have seen everything but a 25th and an AL.
Shame as I want to see what the HH hype is all about.

the HHAL is totally worth it! I did think that hardtail AL at the Guitar Center you went to was little compared to mine. I did like the feel on the hardtail though!

Interesting comment about Long and McQuade. The L&M in Winnipeg is by far the best music store in the city....usually a fair number of music mans in stock...right now they have a luke bfr, 2 silhouette specials, an axis and 2 petruccis. But for some reason they have never had an Albert Lee in stock....and I would love to try an Albert HH. I'm hoping one day my luck will change and they'll have a cool powder blue one hanging on the wall to come home with me.

I'll always be a fan of the little guy... But I do have to admit that GC is making a HUGE push in the right direction. It's good to see a "large box" store address it's "rep" and do something positive about it, especially with many of the little guys closing up shop in today's economy. It's also a plus to see EBMM in GC as I've often thought getting your product into peoples hands was your biggest challenge. Once you have played one you know exactly what MM is about.

That being said, I purchased my HH AL from Zombi when he was at GC and I am happy as can be! Next up is a reflex or a silo spec...

Haha, I will always have a soft spot for the AL, its just a beautiful guitar that is both unique and incredibly functional. My Morse is set up exactly the way I wanted it and I just get excited when I get home, plug in, and hear how great it sounds.

my Boss' kid just got a job at GC. Fresh out of college and now selling balls.
He played my Albert and loved it.
