Hey guys. A little over a year ago I purchased a True Gold SR5 with the matching headstock and duel pickups. I love the bass and really like the color. Many bassist have commited on the sound but really never say anything about it's color. I've notice a lot of sunburst, honeyburst, black and colors that are more on the darker end of the scale. Sometimes I wonder if they view my color as more suitable for a girl. After all I suppose gold is not exactly a macho color.

Gorgeous color...and I am secure with my manhood. ;)

If I owned an EBMM in True Gold and someone told me it was a girls' color, I'd hit them with my man-purse.

You keep that one.
I was ready to order a Single H 2 band True Gold Ray with Tort pg but
found out that color had been discontinued. IMO that is a classic color.

Thanks Buzzman. Mine has the tort p.g. and I have no intention of getting rid of it.

By the way, don't shoot me for not having EB strings on Ray. This was a set of cheap strings that I threw on until I could get to the music store.

All I can say is True Gold is a real gem of a color. I still gaze lovingly at this one every day:
