Hey All;

After having my new Axis for a bit over 2 weeks now, I have to say that I have really bonded with it; it is an amazing instrument. I was concerned at first, had a little trouble getting used to it. Oddly enough, now that I am used to it, I find myself playing better than I ever did on my Les Pauls, almost like they were holding me back. I am playing things I never thought myself capable of playing, and just being really inspired by this guitar. Weird, but a very welcome surprise.

I'd post more pictures, but Photobucket seems to be having issues lately, so I don't know whre to go have my pictures hosted. Should be out gigging in July, so I will post some "action shots" of the Axis.

You can also upload EBMM photos here to your profile, but I have not figured out how to link to them in a post.

My Axis made me better almost instantly. Sounds crazy, but it's true. I'd never had a high-end guitar before it arrived, and the difference was amazing. Over time it made me a lot better because I wanted to play more and get good enough that I deserved it. Three years later ... still not there yet. :D

Exactly the same experience I had when I played the first Axis SS I ever saw at a GC. I played better. If I had not switched to the Axis, I would never have had the chance to replace Zach Wylde for Ozzy. Oh....wait....

No, I tend to stay away from GC a bit unless I need strings or maybe a pedal on a moments notice. The local one had a black sparkle Axis, and the Roseville one had a Sterling Axis. I seem to remember a JP BFR at the Sac store as well. I usually buy stuff from Bizarre Guitar in Reno. They ship to me in one day, are competitive on pricing, and are cool guys.

Where is your jam night held in Folsom? I could come out one of these nights. That'd be fun.

James,

By the way, did you get that at the GC in Sac?? They usually have a pretty good selection of EBMM guitars in.

Bring that new Axis on down to the "jam night" in Folsom, I hear it's a fairly decent jam.

I hate my Axises, Axi, whatever. Reason being, none of my other eight or so Ibanez, Fender, Jackson and Gibson guitars have been touched since the first Axis came in and I feel like I wasted a bunch of money on them. All they are good for now is decoration. ;)

You should sell the Gib$on$, Ibeenhads, Cracksons and Fenders (haven't heard a good name for them), and buy more gear that you will use.
