I hope to get an autograph from JP, and I have some questions...

Where can I buy or order the backplate of the JP6? (in Canada)

It seems like backplate is the spot (I dont want to carry the guitar around inside hundreds of people...)

Also, after getting the autograph, how do I protect it so that it doesn't rub off?
(I plan to get it at both inside and outside)

First time getting an autograph from someone lol...

Thanks a lot.

Pretty sure you can just order one directly from Ernie Ball. But I guess you could get the back of the backplate signed so that the autograph doesn't rub off when you play the guitar.

Will this guitar be brought across the U.S./Mexico border illegally?

You may not know this but you're guitar should already have a backplate you just have to unscrew it.............................

LOL...

I meant if I don't find out how to prevent the rub off, I will just buy another plate to put on.

But, I guess I can get it inside (and another one outside hopefully =) )

I don't understand.

What's wrong with carrying guitar around?

jeez.......

he meant you had the guitar cut up into pieces and smuggled around inside hundreds of people....

maybe the guy with the backplate didnt make it...

Dude its easy u just lacquer the backplate afterwards and let it harden.

It ain't gonna add any value to you're guitar in resale though.

To Windover: I'm sorry if you didn't find it. Its late, it was funny, and I was trying to make a joke. And no I'm not trying to be a grammer nazi, but a "With" between inside and hundreds would make it clear.

i got mine autographed by JP and i just brought the backplate to get signed. i clearcoated it when i got home.

also you can order extra backplates, i ordered one today for the exact same reason you want. just call customer service with a credit card number. they are EXTREMELY inexpensive

and make sure you mention its for a 6 string.

Thank you for the info!

How do you do the clearcoating? Is there like a spray at the stores?
