Nothing funny at all about the economic doldrums, especially when it hits home in the MI biz.

I'm not at Nashville. but I rep a couple companies that are, so as far as Summer NAAM goes:

It's always been 2nd place to WInter NAAM in Anaheim, that's the main event (that's been slower recently too of course.. the recession...)

Many parties save their $$ to attend the "Big Show" after the 1st of the year;
as it costs a great deal of money to attend and/or exhibit at a Trade Show.

Nashville provides an opportunity for the dealers etc. in the East, South, and MidWest an opportunity to stay a little closer to home, but seeing as there's lots less Exhibitors, that too cuts down on attendance.

I'm personally waiting for and will work NAMM 2011, and we all hope that EVERYTHING gets better along the way.
In the meantime...

Here's to the new and forthcoming product(s) from EBMM, as always killer, top-tier gear (My Credit Cards don't appreciate the GAS though!:D)
and here's hoping to greater success, profits, and FUN for MusicMan and all of us who enjoy and use them!

Cheers!

Last month's flooding in Nashville probably didn't help the situation either. Even if the floods didn't affect hotels, people just get gun-shy if they don't have to be there.

The Reflex turned out to be such a great looking bass. Definitely the first time I ever had the opportunity to watch a new instrument being developed from the gound up, starting with BP's 25th r&d sneek peek thread. Great finish on this one, congrats. Yeah, BP has referred to the 25th/Reflex HH in general (as distinguished from other pup configs on the same bass) as the monster truck. Can't wait to find out why, first hand.

Thanks for the pics & congrats on a killer bass.

Nice color - I was guessing "Vintage Gold" was maybe a transparent amber color but I like metallic gold much better.
Great looking bass, congrats!

It reminds me of the Gold Roller BFR.

It is really looking like a Reflex is next for me. Black with white binding.

Since we haven't heard a peep yet and it's Sunday as of right now, I assume that (aside from the Reflex-only Vintage Gold) no new colors have surfaced at NAMM.

Yea or nay?

That's my understanding with regards to new colors. Sad. But, I have something in the works that renders it moot to me. :D
