Saw Dream Theater a few days ago. JP used a Silverburst BFR for "As I am". He seemed to favor black guitars for most of the show. He used various BFR's in blackburst for most of the songs. Some of these BFR's were quilt and some were flame.

JP used a Stealth model for Constant Motion. The Stealth had the BFR logo on the 12th fret so it must be different than the actual production model.

For "Pull Me Under" John Petrucci played the old Mystic dream guitar. I couldn't really tell if this was the one with the new pickups or if this was the 2000 model with the original pickups

I couldn't tell what guitar he was playing from the Lawn section. I can say that Dream Theater and Iron Maiden kicked some serious ass!

He's also been using it for the South American tour earlier this year, it was in standard tuning. Mostly on Hollow Years and The Count of Tuscany.

I'll be interested to see what song he uses one on. He didn't have one in Denver, although, instead of the stealth, I think it was the sparkle matte on Constant Motion. He may use different ones different nights. That wouldn't be unusual considering his past tours.

I will say this, DT sounded better in Denver than any of the DT live DVDs.

They have been sounding progressively better as the years go by IMHO.

I'm looking forward to DT doing another live performance video. Hoping for Blu-Ray with lossless, 5.1 soundtrack whether its Dolby or DTS.

Ha!

Seriously tho, I agree, they need to release something in HD, and re-release Budokan in bluray! :D

Great sound quality on that video. LOL at the guy's nose when he cleaned the lens. Guitar sounds really.... crisp. (That's a good thing)

EDIT. And wow... that must have been an off night for JP :\

BTW I'm still waiting for picture/video proof of the (newly muscled) JP playing the old mystic dream...

I thought I read he was getting a former forum members JPX sent to him?
Is that what was shipped?
