Neck pocket cracking

I have a few EVHs with stress cracks at the neck pockets. Doesnt seem to bother the playing though . Could be overtightening of the neck plate screws though !!

I got a LUKE couple years back that came directly from the dealer (Pete) as a special order and it had a stress crack the first day I opened the case. It was barely visible in the first place and did not affect anything whatsoever. I decided to sell it to get my current Silo Special...but I regreted selling it so I have another coming VERY soon (I hope). Bottom line is...just play and dont mind it. Doesnt affect a single thing, and I bet its barely noticable anyway.

I haven't noticed any cracks in any of the Balls I have owned. I have heard the warning about not over tightening of the neck plate to reduce the possibility of this occurring.

Oh man, bad,bad mental image, yuck

Any ways no big deal to have one, only in the clearcoat affects nothing, my new DDII Luke has one happened after I brought it home, not even noticeable.
