Well I've been gassing for a classic Ray since Poppa's torture threads first appeared and this morning at 0930 I pulled the trigger on a coral red, birds eye maple, maple board, white PU cover, white pickguard SR4 classic deluxe.

The dealer managed to get Blind Lemon and Co to let them have the only coral red SR4 available in the first UK shipment - ETA is mid to late April - and the GAS is rising already :eek:

I have to say I was mightily confused by the fantastic tobacco burst pics posted recently and also the aged natural in the latest torture thread but I've stuck with coral red!

Now I know how Wazoo felt waitinng for his 25th Anni.

My GAS pains have started boiling over with all these pics of new Classics. A Douglas's post is the latest and greatest!

So I phoned Absolute Music to enquire after my coral red Classic Ray and was told........................delayed by the flight restrictions caused by VOLCANIC ASH :eek:

Good news is it is promised with 10 days...........:D just thought I'd share my elation at this!

They have ordered a number of Classic Collection and I'm guessing some will be available to test on their event on 20th May, which Dave Marks is playing at. The chance for UK knuckleheads to try some, possibly???

Congrats, That color combo will most certainly be awesome! I cannot wait for pic's! Lucky for my bank account the German distributor has not gotten any Classics in yet. :eek: Gives me time to build a use case for the better half :D

The GAS pains have been bubbling away for the last couple of months but I've now got a very bad week-end ahead :eek:

Not only have I got to endure the nerves during England v Germany in the World Cup on Sunday, but I just had a call from the UK dealer and distributor -they have my Classic in the warehouse - I'm collecting on Tuesday. Pics to follow - I really can't wait to get my hands on this beauty :cool:

It is said they have a Big Al in the same shipment............potential GW order maybe :)

Hope they don't get yours and Wazoo's mixed up, both being red. You guys have waited long enough already!

I reckon my Big Al 5 is at least 2 months away. I've been told my Ray 4 should be arriving, not sure on the Ray 5 HS but it would be nice if it was here!

All three would be mental...

I'm hedging bets on just the Ray 4.
