Those look cool as hell, and I actually like the ergonomic enhancement/design you've come up with here more than the design we saw in the drawings in the 25th development thread. A twisted tuner ... what a great idea.

no retro fit...couldnt make that work

This makes me sad.

I'll bet it could be done even if it's not a straight swap. It'd be easy if the post diameter and height are the same - all you'd need to do is drill new pilot holes for the locator pins. hmmm....

Oh, well. Best not open that particular can o' worms. Not going to be available for separate purchase anyway.

Interested to know what models these are going to be for...

At a wild guess, the ones that already have alternative tuners. Namely the Reflex.

At a second wild guess, these will show up on the first bass to offer the Gamechanger.

Which might be the name of a brand-new model. Maybe.

So... third-quarter basses (plural): Gamechanger 4 and Gamechanger 5?

Offering the Gamechanger as a separate model (vs. offering it as an option on an existing model) makes a lot of sense, actually. Keeps the line pure and simple, which is good for manufacturing, ordering, etc.

If thats the case ill not worrying asking my dealer to see if I can have the new tuners on my Big Al 5 order.

I think your prediction seems quite logical...we shall see what happens !

Don't count on it being anywhere near reality. Every single time I've come up with a perfectly logical, reasonable prediction about upcoming EBMM products it has turned out to be completely wrong.

If even one tiny aspect of what I wrote turns out to be true it'll be a first.

I can be thought of as an anti-oracle.

Look at the picture of the prototype mounted on the headstock. Look at it very carefully... 1 hole has the tuner in it, there are 3 holes that are not concealed by the tuner... 2 big and one small... that can be the headstock of a certain past or present model.

This is only an observation... I will leave the speculation too others :D

I doubt that means anything at all. Prototypes are stuck together out of whatever's handy. The 25th protos had production necks from other basses on them. There are many other examples as well.
