Maybe i am just missing something but what is the "twisted" peghead going to do? Wouldn't it only be more ergonomic while turning in one direction and not the other? JOSH

Jup that is the Stringdownholderhole ;) (Saitenniederhalterloch)

:D:D:D:D

We should not make this thread a stringdownholderholediscussion. Otherwise the mod will perform a stringdownholderholediscussiontermination. :D

What material are the tuners made of? Aluminum, magnesium alloy?

Swappable peg heads are an interesting option for those who want to customize their instruments.

Hey, German friends, what is this?

Is it because of Saturday Night Fever , ...Soccer match Germany vs. Argentina? :D

Tuners are cool, and I'm sure that details will be published when Sterling Ball decide to! ;)

It's really just an aesthetic choice.

You see, BP has a thing for bent knobs......

.... you just KNEW I'd have to go there sooner or later, didn't you?
:D:D:D

Seriously, I do think it's just because it looks cool. But that's just MHO.

I don't really care about the weight loss - but the style is nice. Hopefully it is not aluminum on the gearing. May as well put them on all the basses eventually. Sort of the gradual migration away from the F****r look. At the local GC I thought there were no EBMMs in stock. Then I saw they were on the wall in the same row as the F****r stuff. One crowd of similar shapes together at a quick glance. W/O the trained eye - many would not know the difference.

If a Person can't tell the difference from a Fender and Music Man hanging on the wall, Well, lol

ok back on track...Adouglas I dont do things for looks alone there has to be a practical benefit and guess wht? no matter which way you grab this it feels cool

I agree with BP, all the many changes that have been made here at Music Man I must say have been for the Better of the instrument, Looks Like Music Man is just Moving forward looking into the future for Reflex Instruments and beyond.

They do Look Good and I'm sure they'll be awesome, and I'm told they will have a Gloverleaf option as well, so hitting all bassis.

So I'll ask again chaps, is this destined for the Big Al? If so my dealer may be putting mine on hold.

I wouldn't wait to be honest, It may take a while before these hit production, I'd get the Basses now and enjoy the Tone, This is just me, I used to say that with My Mac Book Pro's, l'll wait til the best one is released , well they just always changed and always got better so where do ya drawl the Line.

I know exactly what you mean, but the Big Al is a 30th Present, a BIG deal for me basically haha. I want it to be as current as possible if you get me.

The Rays will be absolutely fine with the original tuners.....if these new ones are for the Big Al as well....id rather wait as Im borrowing a little cash to be able to fund it.

IF the new tuners are NOT going to be put on the Big Al....can someone let me know asap as Ill keep the bass on order otherwise instead of reordering later in the year. PLEEEEASE let me know.

Congrats on a nice part!
Love the light weight as well as the design.
The switchable tuning handles is brilliant; allows for easy individual personalization that will take minutes; has this ever been done before?
