Sometimes forum member and full time good guy pal o' mine from Ohio Pat (aka cheezewhiz aka Faithful Patsy) came by last night on break from visiting family over in Rockwall, which some of you will recognize as west Louisiana.

We played a bunch of basses but when the red Bongo came out, Pat said, "THIS IS A BASS." This was the look on his face:

He also really liked the Big Al and asked how long it would take me to notice if he stashed it in his car.

Nice to see you, Patsy!

You should see the pillow that's generally stuffed in that kick drum. You wouldn't want your head anywhere near THAT thing. Those drums used to be kind of white. Those days are long since gone.

Anyway, Craig, you know the quote from Miles Davis about Al Green?

I still giggle about LaRue picking that one up after asking why Sterling was all ga-ga about the single H Bongos. "Oh, it's got FLATS on it." Long pause. "I mean, those are great for your gig....."

That one got signed by Sterling, Scott Ball, Dudley Gimpel, Luke, Derek Brooks, Dave LaRue, Tony Spinner....let me think....John Ferraro. That boy can REALLY play drums. Since that photo, I've added my wife and child's sigs. Gotta get Chuck R to sign it, too.

Bovinehost Studios

You need a wall-of-fame or something of people who have visited the Viper Room / Jungle Room / Bovinehost Studios / etc.

Good to see Patsy. Whatever became of his buddy, was it Tim Cole??

I count as one of my crowning achievements a visit to Jackie-world, with none other than Ray Duke. (I lead a small and pathetic life).
