Hey, u talkin to me? NY
Did you send this post from JP's computer in his hotel room?

I believe that stalking is legal in Ohio, so Hendog is OK! JP is dreamy and I can't wait to see him on July 12th!

Iron Maiden must have sucked not even a mention.

This was one of the 3 Dream Theater one off shows without Maiden. There's another on July 11th in Worcester, Ma and I have no clue where the other one is. I believe Beatallica opened.

I wonder what color socks Petrucci was wearing. I wonder if he played the JPX or if he has had his fill of it.

its unfortunate that the line arrays blocked so much of the stage it looks like. they got unlucky with maiden to, there monitors are on stage during DT's set. I actually talked to Portnoy at the calgary show while he was watching maiden in FOH and he said the monitors were there cause maidens crew have to much stuff to move around, but if they took an extra 5 minutes to move them it woulda been nice. Mike didnt seem to happy about it

It's a bit puzzling as why JP is barely playing the JPX live...
If I remember correctly, Constant Motion is the only song in the set list that has standard tuning in it and he has JPX and like 3-4 other guitars in standard tuning so he has a lot to choose from for one song. I believe that JP's tech himself told on the JP forum what tuning the songs have and which guitars have that tuning.

I dont think he played the JPX at all. But from my vantage point (I moved around quite a bit) I could not be sure on one song he either played the JPX or a Stealth.

He opened up the show with the Silverburst, then he played the JPX for Constant Motion and Hollow Years, then the Stealth 7 for Mirror and Lie. Then it was the Walnut Burst for A right of Passage through As I am, then he played the Mystic Dream for Pull Me Under and Metropolis Pt. 1. Closed with the Black Burst on Count of Tuscany.

The other one was in Portland, OR.

Beatallica opened the show and they were actually really cool.

You were there?!?

We should have met up.

Thanks for the clarification. As you can see from my pics, I had a number of bad vantage points where it was hard to see.

EDIT:

He didn't end with the Black Burst. He ended with the Cherry Burst BFR. Are you certain the rest of your list is correct?

You're right. He did end with the Cherry Burst. I went through my pics. I'm certain the SilverBurst was first followed by the JPX and Stealth 7. Not sure about the exact order after that, except the Mystic Dream. He played that one for the Images & Words songs. I know there was a Walnut Burst in there somewhere and now that I think of it I think I saw the Silver Burst again...maybe for Panic Attack.
