Congrats man! That's huge. Just huge.

On the series/parallel thing- parallel lowers the inductance and resistance of the pickups. You get more frequencies from the resultant combination (less midrangey the way a series humbucker is); it's more single coil-esque, while still being humbucking.

I like to use it in parallel mode (switch down) and then thicken the sound by switching to series mode on the fly. It gives the guitar 10 sounds overall.

I cannot believe this but my girlfriend just showed up to my house with a new 25th!

Maple
Trem
Quilt

It is probably the nicest guitar I have ever held.

Can someone tell me what the Parallel/Series switch does??? And I know the difference between parallel and series, but I want to know what it does to the sound.

Thanks!

Hmmm...nowhere in here does it say that she gave it to you. Are you sure she wasn't just showing it to you? ;)

Be glad to help...
The little switch is a special device that allow you to sent MP3 versions of what you are playing live to the web...just plug your guitar in your computer and open iTunes. In the other position, it is in surround sound mode, so if you plug the guitar in your home theater, you can do movie soundtracks.

You're welcome!
