The mod sounds fairly simple ... if you know what you are doing electronics-wise. Can anyone please provide some step-by-step instructions?

I'm not too knowledgable about electronics but I am good at following instructions.

come one I want to see a picture of where you fit the extra battery

I will try this mod one day, but would like it to be reversible and may add a switch to move from 18V to 9 V.

So a pictute of the cavity is more than welcome :)

i've read (i don't remember where..)
that 18v mods add no more gain but a little bit headrom in mids tones

i think for me this mos isn't reversible because my Luke is fully loaded with piezo

perhaps one day i'll buy a used one and try to put
other pickups
i love the luke for all and his feeling i would like to have one SSS or trying an
axis pickup in the bridge ot other (frailins,lollar...)
other sounds with this fantastic guitar :):):)
