i had a crazy idea to see if i could write and record a whole track using only my new Reflex "monster truck" bass. this is what i came up with. its a little wacky, but not bad considering that every single sound on this track came from a bass guitar. for the drums i thumped and slapped and scratched the strings then sliced those bits up in a daw and then programmed them like a drum machine. for the other instruments i plugged the Reflex into some synth pedals thru old tube amps etc. no extra samples, keyboards, or anything else were used anywhere in the track, it is 100% monster truck. hope you dig it. i had a blast putting it together, and learned a lot in the process. not sure how to embed the mp3 file so i guess youll have to click on the link. let me know if theres a way to build it into the post.

Very cool Craig. Playing and composing are great.

That is sure proof that bassists (and basses) are not one-trick ponies!

thanks everyone for the kind words. compliments from peers never gets old. i reckon one of us should do the same thing with the stingray so no one can ever call it a one trick pony ever again. its incredible how inspiring and versatile the reflex and the classic really are. im very much looking forward to getting my hands on a big al and bongo next. jasckson... you got like 50 of each right??? send me a couple dammit!!!

Actually, my entire CD was done using one EBMM instrument per selection. Just like you minus the talent. :D

I really liked that and enjoyed it a bunch.

Talk BP out of a bongo if you really want to have some fun.
