This is moving, all around.

Good on the folks at EB for doing this. yet another reason these guys are above the rest, IMO.

I've been following the story and I really appreciate how fast EBMM responded to JayDawg's request - simply fantastic and it turned out gorgeous. like someone else said - I never thought I'd like a Pink bass that much!

earlier toady it dawned on me - I need to sell my pre-EB and get a Classic ASAP...

Thank you all for the kind words! I agree too that the neck is fantastic looking. I cannot wait until Friday and I can see her in person. Her first performance will be at church this weekend because I play on our worship team. The bad part is as soon as church is over, I have to leave for Pueblo, Colorado for a conference for work but won't be back until Thursday. But I have all day Thursday to play with her because I am off on that day. Same with this Saturday before work.

I guess I should also give a little update on Rochelle while I am posting. This Monday will be chemo treatment #3 of 6. She is almost half way done. The first 3 days after her chemo, life really sucks for her and she does not want to get out of bed because her entire body hurts and she fights a little bit of be nauseous but after about 4 or 5 days, she starts feeling better.

After chemo is finished in September or October then Rochelle will need to continue to take a drug called Herceptin until June of next year. She will take it by I.V. once every 3 weeks like she does her chemotherapy. Her Oncologist did give us some good news in that once chemotherapy is done we can look at doing re constructive surgery almost right away. He said we can start looking at different options around October and she maybe able to have the first surgery as soon as January. Once everything is finished, which should be by June of next year, then all we need to do is keep praying that this dreaded disease never returns again!

As far as the bass goes, I may be doing a show in August which if I do, it will be the main bass played with my Sterling 4H as my back up and then there is a Relay for life in September I believe that is in Denver, Colorado for the Susan G Komen foundation. I know they have bands perform their at times as well. We are not booked yet but I am working on trying to get us booked for it. I have also had a few other people ask us to play at a few different Relay for life's coming up so this bass will definitely be getting a lot of exposure in the next few months to a year and then my goal is to hopefully keep those shows in constant rotation and maybe even be able to add more shows eventually. I will keep everyone updated as we continue to fight this battle.
Thanks again everybody!

Jay,

My prayers go out for your wife, you, and your family. Prayers of healing and strength in and after this difficult time. Thanks for sharing with us. This is another reason why I play MM...good people caring about good people.

Nice bass and what a great cause. Mind taking some close ups of the pickguard, it looks bloody tops.

Absolutely I will. UPS called and left a message saying the bass will be delivered somewhere between 8am and 7pm Friday and that somebody needed to be home to sign for it. I am really hoping that it comes before I leave for work. In any event, if it is before or after work tomorrow, I will take several close up shots of the bass and post them up on here. I will make sure to include some close ups of the pick guard too.

Oh my gosh! I finally got her today and she is even more gorgeous in person! The pictures simply do not do this bass justice. After I got home tonight, the family and I had a great time unpacking the bass and then taking pictures
with it.

I know there are a bunch but I was excited.

Also BP, I know you have requested not to pm you or ask to be your friend on Facebook but my wife said if she ever meets you, she wants to give you a great big hug for everything you have done for our family if you will let her.
Thanks again for making such a fantastic bass. It will be in my family forever!

Glad you got it.

That is one very special bass on so many levels... a true blessing (I love your strap!)

That T-shirt ROCKS, too.

Your kids are adorable. I love the look of joy and pride on their faces...priceless.

Thanks Nick! Tonight was definitely a special family night. The only bad part is my amp is at our church so I won't be able to plug it in until then. But the Sunday morning's service will be her first performance. I will post up pics and maybe see if my wife can video tape us on one of our phones during rehearsal or during worship.
