I don't get it... What does a 8-string give you that an octave pedal won't?
Enlighten me, guys...
Not intended sarcasticly, really... What does it do?
Well, for one it is an actual string making the octave note and not being "synthesized". I guess that means you would get a natural chorus sound as the two notes would never be exactly in perfect tune.
i'd go the other way and vote for the tony levin 3 string model.
But i would also like to see a twin-turbo V8 RWD Scion XB. Guess that is a long shot also. JOSH
I must really suck as a bass player because I am really content with just 4 strings. I do like 5 stringers as well though...
I guess it does not count.... It looks like its a twin turbo... and blown!

An octave pedal won't track as well as a 8 string bass.
About the only thing I will use an 8 or 12 for is to play Jeremy hehe.
