Was wondering if I could get a DOB for a fretless SR5 I just bought? Serial is 55278. It's a wine-red transparent finish over an ash body with a fabulously figured neck! Maybe someone could get me a date while I just sit here and stare at it, happily gobsmacked!

1992 SR4 Fretless

Hi. I have 2 incredible Stingray basses. A 2005 Black SR5 with Maple neck and fingerboard, and I recently Bought a SR4 Fretless that I would really like some more info on. Its Beautiful!! It has a Birdseye maple neck and a natural finish and black pickguard. The fingerboard looks too light in color to be rosewood. I would love to know the type of timbers used. I would also like to know its value as it is nearly 20 years old and in immaculate condition. If it is a rare valuable one then I will endeavour to keep its condition. If not I will be playing it hard. I have the original warranty sheet and final inspection sheet which says the serial number is 35344 by RD Date 10-22-92. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Welcome to the forum! We use Pau Ferro wood for our fretless fingerboards. If you want to check what your bass would sell for, I would suggest to check the past history sales on ebay. Since we only sell new, we do not have any used prices or values.
