I wish EBMM had ebony fretboards as an option on all their basses, they look incredible :(

You have two options for Ebony fretboards. Order a Stealth which is all black, black hardware and matching headstock (painted neck also), the majority of Guitar Centers in the US have Stealth models... Or you can wait until the order window opens for the Roasted Neck BFR in Europe. JOSH

Nah, I like 'em, but I've got to get my bass in October. I think I'm just going with rosewood. Or maple. :p Anyway, I prefer the matched headstock ones.

Gentlemen:

Some advice. First, let's not use the official manufacturer's forum to give advice regarding breaking the law. I'll go back and edit that stuff about skirting import taxes in a bit.

But please: don't do that anymore. It's happened before, I've had to edit it, it's just not kosher.

Second, for the OP, no one is going to tell you to not come to the US to buy your bass and then fly home with it. Just understand that you're walking out with no warranty and no support at home, should you need it.

Thanks,

Jack

Noted Jack, and again, my apologies, I realized that my remark was inappropriate, thanks for deleting only that part of my post.

And my next $ 0.02, it feels like to OP is not yet fully aware of what specs his new dream bass will have. Please spend as much time as you need in getting the right specs, as it seems that you have been saving quite a long time to get your dream bass.

Regardless of what specs you will choose, a Ernie Ball will always live up to your expectations, but it would be a pity if you are already doubting your decision in the airplane back, please get it right the first time!

If you want a test ride, you are welcome to come by and test my Rosewood Stingray, it doesn't have the Sterling neck however, but it does have Martini inlays :D

Sorry, won't happen again. I realize I don't have any warranty, but I've got a good guitar/bass tech, so should anything go wrong, I'll just go annoy him :p

And Lonny, how come you think I haven't researched it enough? I'd researched it quite extensively, but I had a few questions regarding the case, the specs aren't listed on the site. I was actually fairly certain which bass I was getting till someone pointed me in the direction of the anniversary :p, but I decided against it anyway.
And I've been working all summer for the bass, which is about two months now, so I guess it isn't that long, it just feels really long...
