For me original pos 4 is too similar
To 5
I continue to use middle and bridge pu's
I don't split the humbucker
I add a resistence and a capacitor in serial
That's work like a passive eq
I think that's that minimise humbucker présence to have a twangy sound
I'm not at home now (on the beach in corsica)
I'll create a post for that or give all instruction next week

I see the confusion, what I consider my glassy position 4 is my neck and mid stock. You are refering to position 2 which is indeed the least used and very similar to the bridge only.

Quite interesting mod for position 2 (or 4 in your case?). Its confusing with this because some people have different interpretations of which position is which. Humbucker to me is position 1 and than you take it from there hehe. I rather like the humbucker with middle position...its subtle but still different. Nice for a little cleaner rhythm with the volume rolled back slightly.

I'm actually liking the LUKE more now with 10s on it, solid block saddles and 3 springs. I'm also liking the black EB super locks :D. It sounds fatter and more defined in all the positions...still plays like butter of course. Just need to lower the action a bit.

I'm getting there. Of course, when jack wants a different guitar now, the Sub gets modified again. Still working on the paint, but we'll be more in line with a Lukesublette by the time I'm done......

+1. 10's are the best choice for me
That's needs some minor adjust
And with the piezo sounds are:eek:

I just put 10's and a third spring on mine yesterday, I like the change. I put 10's on the Axis a couple of weeks ago and liked that but wasn't sure I wanted to change the Luke. I thought it might make it too stiff feeling but it didn't. No looking back now. 10's on everything... I may end up going to the block saddles later too.

I'm curious about that mod now...

I just did a hip hop gig with my Luke in Long Beach last night. That thing is so comfortable to play. I like that I can play that guitar all night and my back or shoulder doesn't start to ache. It is worth the wait!

OK Wow, this thread is crazy:eek::D Man replies in all directions and I really think what I was trying to say is misunderstood, I did say the heat was getting to me:confused: It was only 106 today with a THI of 110:eek:

OK so like I said some random observations. First I am in no hurry for my ordered Luke, told Pete that when I placed the order.

My point was that it was taking longer than normal than what we expected which got me thinking, especially after noticing that GC.com and MF.com had zero Lukes in stock, which is very unusual, trust me I know I look all the time:D

So made me wonder if the Luke was getting a little tweak and causing a back order jam, or if GC/MF just waited till all NOS was sold and then placed a new order which was causing a back order jam or EBMM's rule and all orders on all models are up which is what I think see told you heat getting to me:p
