Quick thread!

My very old and good friend LUM came to see me last night with his very nice lady Jo I cooked (sorry BP Weather was bad so it was pasta- no smokin') and whilst Mrs Smelly and Jo spoke of women things LUM and I retired to my studio/cupboard....

the whiskey was flowing by this point but...well.... I'vefound a new market for Albert Lee guitars and I suspect when my HH AL Arrives there'll be an additional order placed....

What do you think?

LUM is normally a JP man, he played my 25th my DD luke and it was only at this point I remembered to break out the camera, if you search for LUM previous posts you'll see his band has CD's out and tour the UK alot - Not bad for a Monday night in a quiet Highland village!

I've played other wahs for years, when I heard the EB video I took a gamble and bought it on spec,

best decision ever - I have huge size 12 feet - pedal fits like a glove. The tone is amazing and I would say double the spectrum of the 'most popular' one- the led is very helpful even if you're just jammin' at home
and it's bullet proof metal so very tough - also the jacks are on top so you can squeeze other pedals either side which is good - there's a great EBMM video of Blues Saraceno demo'ing it - well worth a watch.

Man, that AL looks badass. Normally I take a quilt over flame anytime but that thing looks absolutely SICK. Perfect top.

I wouldn't hesitate to bring a HH AL to a metal gig btw, love that shape. Can't find one in the Netherlands ANYWHERE to testdrive unfortunately. "I'll take the SSS BFR, MM90 and 2HH please"

Holy schnikes that's a stunning AL! Seriously - what a beautiful piece! Let me tell you - the HH AL - phenomenal! Been playing mine non-stop since I got it - all the other guitars are getting an unwarranted "rest". The HH AL - is the shiznit!

Can't wait to see yours, Smelly!

So is he getting an Al Smelly?

(Glad to say that LUM is my official ALOC "Minder".);)

Well, when i was younger i just couldn't get on with the Al shape, but
i think i may have mellowed as i've got older though and i'm more open to different styles of instrument these days.
Gotta sort out my finances 1st, but you just never know... ;)

A bit the same here. The AL shape is an acquired taste (like eating snails ;)). But once you like it, you're damned for all your life ...
