I was at work and had a long day .. so i wanted to come home and play my guitar and unwind .. and to my surprise .. when i got to my room .. it was off the guitar stand..on the floor.. curious i asked my gf what my guitar was doing off the stand on on the floor .. she didnt realize it was. Well to make a long story short .. i noticed a slight crack in the neck .. and omg was i furious .. SO .. my question is .. since i now need to replace the neck .. would an ebony JP6 neck fit the sterling?

Man that bites sorry to hear it, not sure if JP neck fits or not. Also not sure you can get one unless you can find one since EBMM does not sell necks.

DO IT!!!!!! I only ever regret when I trade down. Never when I trade up.

I feel your pain, though. I had a beautiful Desert Burst Les Paul Standard that fell off astand and the headstock broke. It was repaired for about $250 but I never looked at it the same way again.

call customer service.
they don't sell parts, however my understanding is if you send in the broken neck, they'll sell you a new one.

It's worth it to get the JP50 repair, if it doesn't cost astronomical amount. You might also want to get in touch with Pat Park from Sterling, see what he can suggest for you.
I know that the JP50 and the JP6 are not exactly identical, so the a JP6 neck may not fit onto a JP50 neck joint

Total bummer, but at least you came out of it pretty damn fast with a new and better guitar, which will surely take your mind off of dwelling on the mishap. It usually takes me and probably most of the guys a few days to get over a nice ding, let alone a cracked neck. Though I know their is a small majority that say they like dings and gouges which I am not a part of.lol I would still look into what it would cost to have you Sterling repaired or finding another neck.

Sorry to hear this. I'm in England this week, return to the office next Tuesday.
If you can send the guitar to us we can have a look. We do stock replacement necks and can get the neck repaired or replaced. Send me an email at

Patpark AT praxismusical DOT com

Thanks
Pat.

Look on the bright side....a bolt on neck is a relatively easy fix......now a Gibson & there would have been tears.
