I think its great that there appears to be a few more Big Al sample on the forum now.

I realise tone can often be attributed to the player, but Id like to know if there are any more sound samples out there of all the Big Al pickups and electronics package?

I cant try before I buy, but I know EBMM will build it well. I just want to hear it first :)

Ive watched the Bass Whisperer review lots of time. When it Pt 2 due for the Big Al 5?!

This is not even on the same planet as Craig's recording or Ed's review video, but here's another Big Al recording sample that gives you an idea of how a Big Al sounds in the hands of a weekend hack player. Rough mix of two bed tracks from a recording session a couple of weeks ago. Big Al SSS wearing flats, neck and middle pickups, active mode. Recorded direct via an Avalon tube preamp.

that sounds bada$$ mark. love the amp tone. b15??? wait!!! just reread!!! thats direct thru avalon??? crazy. sounds like a b15.

We did re-amp through my SB-12 at the session as well so the engineer has two tracks to blend in the final mix, but these rough mixes are just the "clean" track I did with the Avalon.
