Ever since I got my hardtail Rosewood ASS last spring, I've been jonesing for one with a trem. One came up today on evilBay and I found myself clicking on the "Make an Offer" button. The only thing that was more surprising was how quickly the seller accepted.

The bad news is that I'm gonna have to figure out what to sell to subsidize the purchase. :( I haven't been playing most of my PRS guitars much lately...

Fashion being what it is, one of them should produce the necessary money plus change. I keep looking at mine & thinking what I could have instead that I would actually play.
Good decision

A lot of guys will have a pricepoint set for what they will take, and you more than likely nailed it. I have won auctions twice where guys had NOS guitars with a BIN of just about what it cost new, and then put in a Make an Offer of $450 lower of the BIN that was accepted. There are a lot of guys that have to sell a guitar or two to pay for something new they just purchased and will suck it up and take a lot less than if they were in no rush, and could wait it out and grab top dollar.Timing is everything.

Alec,

Glad to hear you're loving the rosewood ASS. I went through the same thing. That was my first MM and as I found other MM guitars that suited me better, I found that I had to move some other guitars, including PRS. I still have one more to move. But right now, I reach for my three MMs before anything else.

And it's been that way for awhile. :)

Agreed, rosewood ASS hardtail is a fantastic guitar, I'll never part with mine. Closest thing there is to a piano on a strap.

I have both a trem ASS and a hard tail. Personally I find them to be completely different animals. Both brill to play, but some days it has to be one, but the next day the other, can't explain it.
