@Jack - I boost the low, roll off some highs, then palm mute and play with either my thumb, or my index finger (upstroke). It gets real fat and thumpy. I also tend to avoid the G string and play on shorter, fatter string lengths.


@Manfloozy - I haven't played through the Epifani stuff, but I do have a full Uber rig at home. I'd say the Ubers are more hifi than the NeoX stuff. The tweeter is a bit more substantial, and the drivers and enclosure are very different. I like them both, but I tend to prefer the NeoX because 1) it's lighter 2) it's a vertical array and I think it's easier to hear myself 3) I like the warmer tone 4) I'm used to it, I've played this cab for 5 years and I love it.


Except for the 25th, all my MM basses are single H. Not to detract from the other configurations, but I truly believe I can get everything I need out of this setup.

@Ed: Thanks for the feedback on the NeoX's... they intrigue me. Oddly, I've read on the interwebz (and yeah I know... first mistake) the opposite.... but I trust your first hand direct opinion about a million times more... so thank you! I'll give one a spin when the opportunity presents itself.
